Red Cardi is based on one of my earlier electric build nicknamed - Projet Orange- which was completed in 2004, this in tandem with the now (almost famous) Zyra hollow-body guitar.

Fun fact is that a twin-set of the same silver maple used for -Orange- was still available at my supplier....now almost 20 years later! This wood is -vacuum dried- and shows absolutely no deflection upon re-sawing or carving. Its white/grey colour makes it also perfect for dye work.

Red Cardi is named after Roberto, who requested red and black as a visual basis for his instrument. Other simple requirements are shorter scale (24.00"), slim neck, unplugged tone and volume, all amplified through zebra cream/black bobbins humbuckers.

As -Orange- had a self-made (moose horn) bridge, I am planning next for a dedicated (similar) shop-made adjustable bridge, made from a little harder materials this time. I will be adding to this page as I go along.

More coming for Red Cardi!
